American Who Went to Iraq as Human Shield Gets Fined
A Florida woman who went to Iraq to act as a human shield was notified by the Treasury Department that she owes a 10,000 dollar fine. Authorities stated that because of the sanctions "virtually all direct or indirect commercial, financial or trade transactions with Iraq" are allowed. She says she'll go to jail rather than pay the fine which would no doubt help to support the troops there. By definition, I just don't see how they can justify the fine! New news.
