President Bush has embarked upon a farewell tour of the American Midwest during the final months
of his failed presidency. His ride is a luxury bus built by a French-Canadian company named Prevost.

Yesterday and today, Bush is making stops in Michigan and Ohio — states whose economies have
been devastated by his reckless policies. Later in the week, he'll continue his tour de failure when he
tries to convince the good people of Iowa and Wisconsin that massive job losses are a good thing.

But we Democrats are optimists, believing even George W. Bush can learn a thing or two. Perhaps the
president's French Canadian bus is proof he's finally beginning to understand the value of international
cooperation. Can this be a sign that he plans to vacation in France upon his defeat for a second term?
