2. While you're at it
you should look for other examples of Rall showing just what a dipshit he is such as his cartoon mocking 9-11 widows, his "ooh-he's creative" column where he takes the position of the noble Iraqi warrior murdering American troops, or where he makes up the proclamtion that the whitehouse had the NY Times drop his column. Or about how he sued another journalist for no good reason highlighting his insanity.

It's just amazing how people here call this jackoff a genious.

I post this request because I was apprehensive to start the first additional Rall/Tillman thread and now there have been like 10 others.

14. It's funny how different people see different thingsin the same item
I saw Ted's Iraqi warrior column, and got quite the opposite read from it.

It was a great article, making the point, among others, debunking the Bushevik "It's Only the Remnants of Saddam's Men" Lie.

It also explained, for the slower of wit, the mindset of an Iraqi Patriot Fightin the Invader.

In other words, and rephrased in a way that might enlighten you (I can't remember if Rall made this point but I'm thinking he did; you were probably so choked with disgust that you didn;t read it or read it cursorily, with your internal voice shrieking out anything that might get in.

There is no shame in this. As humans, we ALL possess unlimited quantities of this trait.

However, my point:

If the ChiComs Invaded Amerika, under the obviously false pretense of "liberating" us. IF they decimated our armed forces in a matter of days, what would YOU DO? Would you band together with your local Bushevik to Free Bush. :puke: I would hate it, but ABSOLUTELY I would. Bush may be Satan but he's OUR Satan and I'd not appreciate being ruled by a Foreign Devil as opposed to our own AntiChrist. Would you take up arms against the Lying Chicom Aggressors (even if in a few respects, as in Iraq, the foreign invader simproved a very few things while stealing and torturing and breaking into people's homes and murdering innocents at about the same clip as Saddam (which reminds me of another excellent insightful Rall cartoon)? I would. And if, after watching the Chicoms humiliate us and our families by strip searching and hooding us in front of our kids, breaking into our houses without warrants, and killing 3 innocents for every insurgent, would you get pissed off enough to degrade and humiliate Chicom bodies of the few ChiComs you and your "Wolverine" friends?

I'll bet you would and so would I. So there is one clear example of an insightful, witty, smart (and not for the "oh so creative" worshipful thoughtless reason, but for that which I outlined above).

3. what's the point of this post?

Ted Rall lost a lot of credibility with me with that unbelievably stupid cartoon anyway.

Is it to show Ted Rall is an incredible idiot?

5. I believe it is. And I'm glad to see so many people coming around to the
reality of how much the opposite of a "genious" or visionary or truthteller he is. He is worthless. There are a million people who could do more for progressivism if given his huge opportunities and access to media.

7. I was a fan of Rall before this article - because of the stolen election
he was the one to bring it up over and over. Did it on maher ABC show and got that famous idiotic answer from Bill: "This is sooo 910"
And then he goes and cancels the veru principle he was defending. It made me sick to my stomach - physicaly. The last person who remembered the voting rights (in public) was taking a dump on it.
I know Rall was in Afghanistan, was passionate about the wrongness of that war. I can respect that - the first panels of his cartoon are right on.
But then he turns idiotic again, blaming the soldiers instead on BFEE/media. It's not "provocative". It's dumb. Just like "the hell with voters"
IT WOULD BEHOOVE US - ANTI-WAR ACTIVISTS TO BE MORE THOUGHTFUL THAN THAT, LEAST WE SHOOT OURSELVES (OUR CREDIBILITY0 IN THE FOOT.)

nice job of spinning. Damn nice job. That article was written when Dean was the colussus in the primary field (i.e before anyone had actually voted).

9. No kidding! Wow!

The date was December 12, Kerry people were nowhere to be heard, while Gore was telling us to shut up and rally and Dean was telling McAuliffe to tell the other candidates to shut up, because "someone has to be the candidate"
Nice try, but I read it 10 times at the time looking for a punch line. There wasn't one. He meant it. Just like the "idiot" remark.

10. Really?
Considering that's the time Kerry's numbers were sinking and Dean had started to dominate that would be very strange indeed.

11. not entirely sure what satiring means
i noticed you said "or the dlc"

like it was one or the other, but considering this was written like a month before any of the caucuses or primaries, your argument holds less water than a defective condom.

...the attitude and attacks some people here put forth daily against a major part of DU - moderate and/or DLC dems - is astounding.

So what the hell, Classical_Liberal, I'm glad the DLC and the democratic voters won --- again. I'm glad those who were fooled by Dean's faux leftism didn't get their man the nomination. And I'm glad the DLC makes you soooo mad.
