Sorry to you all for not paying enough attention to the whole story. I don't even watch American Idol. I just remembered Olbermann on Countdown raising the question if it has been rigged. I usually go to the freepers' website to see what polls they are freeping. I should have read the whole story before raising alarm.

Monday, they were notified that they had made it to the finals. They were chosen from thousands of entries and have made it to the top three.

and I was corrected by several people that this contest is not American Idol but a contest to visit American Idol finals or win a car by Ford. So, there wont be 8 million votes and the Freeper's son is likely to win.

The important issue about the whole post wasn't that we should DU the vote but to point out how cheating is part of the right-wing mentality.
