Why Bill Clinton Will Go Out to Dinner With Me
Robert Sam Anson, author of the Vanity Fair article on what Clinton's been up to, says the Big Dog will go out to dinner with anyone who asks him. Hmm, guess I'll get my invitation out today.

Boy, I can't wait. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Note: above statement made on interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show. And in case you think I'm joking, I'm not. I really am going to write him and ask him to go to dinner with me.

1. That is what I've always like about the Big Dog
unpretentious. very down to earth. This is the same guy that stood and debated a heckler and told him all the good things that have been done. This, as opposed to the same situation where Bush uttered the infamous and often quoted "who cares what you think?".

2. Supposedly, when all those folks were sleeping over
at the WH, often Bill would sit up all night with whoever could keep up with him, and discuss policy issues into the wee hours. God, what I would give to get to hang out with the Big Dog for dinner and get to pick his brain.

3. While you are in a buying mood...
...why don't you ask George Dubya Bush if he'll accept your invitation for dinner and let us know which of the two accepts and where they expect you to treat them.

P.S. Also, let us know which one reaches for the check first.

6. Sorry, NJCher -- Sounds like BS to me
But good luck  and I'll be rootin' for you. Let me know if you succeed because (even though, as a dude, even if you get accepted my chances are MUCH slimmer, and I don't mean that snarkily.

You Definitely have to PM me, though if it happens. I'd love to hear what he said (as much or as little as you would wish to tell.

In your dreams! I'm gonna' keep him all to myself.

Hillary can come, though, if she wants. Chelsea, too.

Of course I will report the conversation to this board!
