Is Lauren Bush a liberal?
here is a profile from www.amiannoying.com

The Resume
Niece of George and Laura Bush
Appeared in Vogue, Glamour and Tommy Hilfiger ads
Studying at Princeton

Why she might be annoying
She started modelling at the beginning of her teens.
Despite her accomplishments, she will always be known as the President's niece.
She is pro-animal rights.
She is a vegetarian.

Why she might not be annoying
Unlike her cousins Noelle, Jenna and Barbara, she is one Bush child who stays out of trouble.
She volunteers her time for charitable causes such as children shelters, hospitals and women's job training.
She ultimately wants to attend business school.
She sat out on an appearance in a Barcelona fashion show due to a stomach bug; but insiders allege that the show featured Arab-inspired clothing and she felt it wouldn't be politically correct for her to take place in the show because the event took place close to the anniversary of September 11.

24. I agree...
I'm thinking of having a bumper sticker printed for this year's election saying:

Are we having enough of the Bush Family yet?

3. Interesting, if true.

She's the second Bush youngster that I've heard is supposed to be not necessarily so evil. The other one is George P. Bush, Jeb's son and Noelle's brother, who I've heard is supposed to be relatively humble and down-to-earth and not as rabidly right-wing.

Of course, I wouldn't know how true these accounts of either GPB or Lauren are. Can anyone confirm or debunk these stories?

one" according to his loving grandfather) He has a history of stalking and vandalism concerning ex-girlfriends. Sounds like more of that Bush sense of entitlement to me...
To hell with the lot of them.

(snip)

(George P) Bush showed up at 4 AM at the Miami home of a former girlfriend. He proceeded to break into the house via the woman's bedroom window, and then began arguing with his ex's father. Bush, then a Rice University student, soon fled the scene. But he returned 20 minutes later to drive his Ford Explorer across the home's front lawn, leaving wide swaths of burned grass in his wake. Young Bush avoided arrest when the victims declined to press charges.

:puke:

ON EDIT: I'm kinda glad to hear it, to be honest -- it would have been hard for me to handle the idea that there are actually individuals in that family who aren't so evil. Now it's easier for me to hate that family even more.

4. I disagree with some of the categorizations
For example, if she did stay away from the fashion show because it featured Arab-inspired clothing and it was close to the anniversary of September 11, then that was reprehensible. All the more reason for her to attend -- making the point that she's not assigning guilt by association.

I don't see her wanting to attend business school as a point in her favor.

Most of all, of course, if she's really an acceptable human being, she should be speaking out against her uncle.

16. It's not the rightwing nuttery
Although I have noticed a correlation. Rather, it's that I dislike the very idea of a business school or a business degree. The world has too many businessmen whose major area of knowledge is, well, business.

I want a world filled with arts and sciences majors.

22. If it is any consolation
Edited on Tue May-04-04 09:51 AM by daveskilt
after the boom in MBA degree seekers over the last few years the market is flooded and no one graduating can get a job (from 85% with jobs at graduation last year down to 20% this year -yay bush economy)
So the new big thing is MBA's with diverse backgrounds...In my class of 103 we have 2 former stuntmen, 3 professional musicians, 1 peace corp worker, 12 liberal arts degrees, 4 actors, 1 former missionary, 1 gynecologist, 1 professional artist, about 2 dozen engineers and scientists, a bunch of ex military and the rest are mostly business folks. The difference is last years graduating class had 3 guys from non business backgrounds out of 112. It is getting better.

11. not according to that one web site
there's a page devoted to republibabes, can't remember where it is. Lauren is on there, along with Leann Tweeden and some others. Ashley Judd's name is on there with a line through it - she's one of us?

13. Ashley Judd was at the march in Washington last week
I can't remember exactly what she said, but she ended with "are you listening 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?"

She must be with us on some things if not all.

17. Demi
traded in her aging, bald, Repub hub for a young, hirsute Dem. Maybe she's letting her more liberal side come through now that she's rid of Bruce. (Now that's a change for the better!)

Okay, maybe 1000 votes, depending on whether or not Diebold is involved.

I hate "celebrity" shit.

To the younger model who used to work for old Barbara--the one he dumped Lauren's mother for--Lauren did not attend.

A point in her favor.
