Anyone see CNN report on Warren Buffett and Steve Jobs?
They are both lined up with Kerry as part of his economic advisory team.

This will NOT go unnoticed by moderate Republicans and Democrats.

8. It's not just that Steve Jobs is almost always right...
...but the fact that he KNOWS it that is the problem. :)

Even with his obvious socialization issues, I've always had a lot of respect for Steve Jobs. I probably respect Woz more for a number of reasons, but the two of them together always had that 'Kirk and Scotty' thing going on.

12. Exect for the one huge blunder that pretty much sunk Apple
Not allowing their hardware to be produced by anyone other than themselves. It pretty much eliminated Mac from the market. I don't think they will ever make the comeback and it is a shame because their software is so much better than Windows.

21. Apple already made a comeback
They have a very steady revenue stream and new product lines emerging every year. What more do you want? I could make the argument that not allowing outside manufacturing SAVED them in the long run because without it they'd be making a 100 dollars a copy for the OS, and nothing for the hardware. The problem is people wanted to defeat Microsoft, no... just form your own share of the market and expand slowly.

14. He said the Segway would change the world
and he was dead wrong. Well, technically it almost changed *'s sex, but other than that the Segway was a total bomb. No worries, only nerds like myself know he's an asshole. Most people don't even know who Jobs is. Buffett on the other hand is a huge pickup.

First, Soros. Now Buffett.
Does it make any kind of an impression on businessmen when big guns like these guys advocate the removal of *?

Just wondering.

15. Kerry with Buffett & everyone's OK with this?
Edited on Mon May-03-04 02:57 PM by moof
Buffett the guy in the bunker with Bush On 9/11

Buffett the guy that just happened to have his annual meeting in that bunker instead of as usual at the WTC ?

Buffett one of the very richest & powerful people on the planet ?

Buffett The guy that has his stock price so high that no one but the very rich can afford it ?

Buffett the guy that was so forward thinking that he only brought a few shares of Microsoft because he was not sure of the technology?

Buffett is on the right side of a few issues but a broken clock is correct over 700 times a year.

Buffett may standing there with Kerry but just because Kerry is good for " our " side does not mean that Buffett is on " our " side.

It's us against them and Buffett is near the very top of the them side.

22. He's filthy rich because....
He's a financial genius. Sounds good to me on a financial team. He's also been publicly against the tax-cuts since day 1.

Also, care to back up your 9-11 "bunker" claims? Why start making stuff up?

17. Some useless trivia...
- Former Apple CEO John Sculley was seated next to Hillary during Bill Clintons first State of The Union Address.

- Al Gore is one of six directors at Apples board of directors.

- The Clintons have been regular visitors to Jobs house in CA.

- In return, Jobs has had the privilege of staying at the White House with his wife Laurene in the now infamous Lincoln Bedroom.

- The Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles in 2000 was jam-packed with Apple hardware http://zdnet.com.com/2100-11-502775.html?legacy=zdnn

Not much on Kerry and Jobs thou...

And of course, Rush Limbaugh, an avid Mac user, called Apple CEO Steve Jobs a "Clinton-loving Democrat"...

Buffett and Jobs also have unkempt desks, because they use them to work.
