dems polls and martial law
We democrats must remember to keep the poll numbers in a dead heat or we're risking another terrorist strike or worst yet, martial law... no

1. Why would keeping them in a dead heat
Decrease the likelihood of those events? I would think if he knew he was going to win, he'd prefer to retain the illusion of being in charge and respecting our democratic system. Whereas, if you think this sort of think is possible, he'd be more likely to do it if he was going to lose his power.

Maybe I"m looking at this the wrong way.

2. Kerry landslide
I was thinking along the lines if it looks like a Kerry landslide like I think it could very well be then cowboyCO will have to do something drastic, thats all.

3. Oh i see what you mean
I was thinking about it going the other way--that makes more sense.

But even then, if we are close, it increases the odds that he can rig it.

4. rigging
I was thinking a long the lines that if the polls show them in a dead heat they'll think they can win by rigging the election, then WHAM we hit him with a landslide they don't forsee... Is not DU great

5. Close Polls (or Polls Showing * Winning) Let Them Steal It
Between the Electoral College and Diebold,
we NEED a landslide to win this one.

But if it looks like Kerry in a landslide,
either he will be Wellstoned (or RFKed),
or they'll MIHOP another "terra-ist attack" and declare martial law.

Bush* seems like the "sore loser" type to me.

Another option is to keep doing what they are doing in Iraq,
until the whole middle east goes to war against us
and even Kerry can't get us out of it.

6. landslides and sore losers
It sure is reassuring that us Dem's have no problem with looking at things from all angles. I think you may be right about the landslide, and I know for damn sure you're right about the "sore loser" thing. cowboyCO must go...
