Biden made a good point about the torture
on ABC today, he was making the point that the government's response was
inadequate, that it didn't grasp the urgency of the situation.

The interesting thing he said was that Bush should congratulate the people who
came forward and reported the abuse. Which I thought was very smart, because
it is pretty obvious that in reality if the government ever found out who leaked
those photos, their careers would be over.

In fact, I'm guessing the focus of whatever investigation is going on is probably
on finding out who leaked the photos.

2. yes and yes
last nite i was saying but but but htere are those that brought it forward, we have to say this outloud. encourage allow praise insist on demand those wanting to feeling integrity the simpleness of knowing right and wrong

adn so right on with bush not seeing the urgency and hugeness of what the world saw of who we are. this is once again the perfect example of his stupidness and the leading into poor decision making cause he doesnt have the capability to see the huge in something ergo the non deep thinker. it is killing us, his non deep thinking,.........literally

3. I suspect its only because the trail leads to higher office
that put pressure to find the WMD even if it meant torturing prisoners.... which as we see by those photos. .. . was torture gone wild...ala De Sade...How sick.

Somehow, Bush may escape involvement, but his comments, his subtle pressure, have have been the roots to all this in the first place.

5. his comments
I seem to remember Bush saying something that amounted to approving of
torture. He said it with a smirk, back when his approval ratings were higher and
he wasn't being as careful.

4. Kerry should issue a statement
praising the courage of those who stepped forward.

6. And I'd say you're absolutely right
In fact, I'm guessing the focus of whatever investigation is going on is probably on finding out who leaked the photos.

The top minds in Washington are feverishly working on how the bigwigs can maintain plausible deniability, and how the whistle blowers can be punished.
