Just tried unsuccessfully for an hour to get through to Washington Journal on C-Span. I could NOT believe the conservatives calling in excusing the torture of prisoners in Iraq!

They blamed everyone from Clinton (yes one man blamed all this on Clinton) to the woman general in charge ("that lady" was the exact quote) to "unAmerican, hate America liberals," to the media. One woman called in from Kentucky nearly hysterical because the CNN and C-Span are showing the photos. She was outraged that the news media is reporting this story. Another man said that Jessica Lynch was tortured, these prisoners weren't tortured just humiliated. Yest another freeper said, "What happened in Iraq is no worse than college fraternity hazing." Then there was Brian in New York who basically said that ANYONE who questions the President or supports Kerry in the fall hates America.

Thank God there were many voices of intelligence and reason sandwiched between these numfucks, but honetly I was screaming at the TV by the time the call in segment ended. I really think that Bush could go over to Iraq and commit atriocities to these prisoners on live TV and these repugs would still support him!

The mind set of certain people is unfucking believable! The fact that most of these idiots were from the South, and Ohio (with one nutter from New York) sickens me. These are the people that live all around me. Thank God there were at least 4 intelligent, reasonable people from Atlanta that called in (another thing I noticed all the Georgia callers for Bush sounded like Gomer Pyle 5th grade dropouts, the Democratic callers from Atlanta were accent-free and obviously educated).

Okay end of rant. I really shouldn't watch Washington Journal, listening to the ignoramouses that call in totally neutralize my blood pressure medicine.

1. You must realize that in the lexicon of the right wing

conservative= racist. They hate liberals because they usually defend or befriend the target groups. In the south, you are worse than the target of their racism if you befriend any member of one of those groups. This Iraqi war just gives these freaks an opportunity and cover for expressing their continued racism.

I was the one that got the idiot from KY all upset, one of the first callers. I had read the article and was so disgusted, but to my joy I had an idiot call in after me spitting mad and making no sense. I wish they allowed you to call in and rebut.

4. I wondered how many of the Intelligent callers were DUers

I try unsuccesfully every weekend to get through. I think I may have actually gotten through twice. This morning the I actually got a ring, but it rang for 15 minutes then went to a busy signal. UGH!

Have to flip the channel frequently.

The hate radio is a dangerous influence on otherwise sane people.

If you've ever listened to the kind of trash Michael Savage spits out, you'll know what I mean.
