If You Were Invited to the White House for dinner would you go?
Edited on Sun May-02-04 12:16 AM by The Democratic Kid
OK heres the deal, you get a phone call and it's the W. no really it's the big W. I'm serious W.Bush our Pres. He wants you and your family to come to the White House for a fund raising dinner. He wants you and your family to help him get re-elected. Now for the Big question, WOULD YOU GO? And why? O ya all expenses are paid for. 1 week in DC. TO hang out with your favorite Republicans. Heres some thing to help you make up your mind. http://www.moveonpac.org/warrecord/ It takes a minute

1. no, I couldn't be polite and my hubby wouldn't be able to
keep his language appropriate so we'd have to pass on the White House. Can we still get the trip to DC tho and see the Smithsonian and stuff?? Can we huh?? Can we???

5. After reading your title
I was prepared to say yes. If the President invites you to the White House, you go. But if he were to have it be a fundraiser than no. Good ad, but so far they haven't run it in my part of Ohio.

7. Yes, and I would embarass the shit out of W

I'd make him look like a total idiot, on every level. I don't care.. we can go political discourse or ad hominems and moma jokes, probably all of the above. I'd give him a verbal whipping on more levels than he could count. I wouldn't even give him time to take off his shoes and socks so he could count that high.

I would be kicked the f... out, but it would be worth it.

16. Great Ad! And NO I wouldn't accept the invitation.
You know, as I was answering this question, I really asked myself if there was ever another President I would have turned down.

I remember from Truman through GWB.

I can't think of any!

17. No, I would not go even

if Luther Vandross was out of the hospital and it was his first performance.
I love Luther Vandross and would really want to see him.
But,the thought of having to smile at Bush and Pickles would quickly draw me back to reality.

19. Sure!
Except I'm certain I wouldn't get past any vetting process. They would boot me off the property in 30 seconds or less.

I'd walk in wearing a Save the Country, Vote Democrat t-shirt and a symbolic gag covering my mouth with a free speech patch sewn on it. I'd refuse to shake hands with Republicans (including the President). When the donation basket gets passed, I'd slip in a note stating that giving money to the GOP efforts is neither in my best interests or the interests of my country.

20. I couldn't and wouldn't
My husband, for starters, would have to be given anesthesia to go or let me walk out the door without him.

I am so against everything this WH stands for that even if they PAID me to go, I couldn't. If I sold out for a free vacation how could I face my kids who know how I feel?

Raise money for the Chimp? The most I'd raise is my middle finger.

22. well my family wouldn't be any help
in getting him re-selected... But I (we) would go. For one thing, it would be the only official dinner at the wh during his term, as far as I know. That's historical. I can't bear to listen to him or watch him on tv, or really even read his speeches. So we could find out if that holds true in RL too.

I had an opportunity to go to DC about a week before nine-eleven, and turned it down. I regretted that decision. I would go out of curiosity. Might even have a bible drill with whoosh*! I think I know more about that book than he does. I could kick butt at bible trivia.
