Why not a 4th of July march/protest?
Edited on Sat May-01-04 03:29 PM by noahmijo
I just got this idea when I just saw my girlfriend in between sweeping the patio hoist up our American flag.

Why not have like a patriotic march or event or something for 4th of July with a theme of restoring our nation's true values?

Dude even better yet! put up a bunch of signs or something that say "Celebrate 4th of July-Unseat King George!" (Bush)

Come on think of the possibilities! what an opportunity to really come together as one and let this administration know that it's policies will not and will never reflect the ideology of true Americans who favor freedom over tyranny.

1. Awesome idea!
Maybe read the Declaration of Independence like the used to in the old days. It was always a reminder of why the nation was founded. Our current King George is guilty of many of the same crimes as his namesake.

We were talking on another thread about planting a peace garden. Also I was thinking of a campaign to tie black ribbons on car antenae and drive with headlamps on until the war ends.

2. I'm just irritated as to how the right has defined patriotism
as to reflect to the country how a "good patriot acts"

In other words a good real America loving person supports war no matter what, supports suppressing rights, and believes a woman's place is in the kitchen.

I say we take back not only our country, but the true definition of what an American patriot is defined as.
