Who supports the troops?
Re: the abuse of the Iraqi prisoners.

George W. Bush, "I've seen the pictures, and I'm disgusted."

Randi Rhodes, "Our poor soldiers have gone crazy. Combat will do that to you."

1. It has always been clear that it had nothing to do with supporting
the troops. Democrats understand why people volunteer for the army, and feel for them. Repugs are happy it is not their kids, support the troops means support their agenda.

4. All our best for your relative
I hope he or she is home soon, safe and sound.

In the SF Bay Area we lost a soldier yesterday who was supposed to come home on 4/12. His stay had been "extended." I can't imagine the pain of his family and his newly-wed wife.

3. Me (I support the troops)

"We know that there is no harder truth than when an American pays the ultimate sacrifice for our country. At this moment, 722 men and women have fallen. Eulogies and rifle salutes and the last lone note of taps have echoed across our towns. The sacrifice is profound, the grief beyond measure, and the country’s gratitude is eternal."

7. I doubt Kerry has time to post on a message board
but I'm sure plenty of political leaders do post here or at least read.

12. I thought about goin with it
John's pretty cool. He's got a much better rap than I can manage. He knows way more than I about supporting the troops. Got to give it up for JK. Word to the troops.

6. There are many over there who are innocent. Who are doing what they
wanted their entire lives to do. However much I disagree with that, I support their return to us in one piece.
