4. I'm A Proud Dad!
I went in to tell my kids (including 2 first time voters) to turn on Dave...I didn't have to, they had her on and were watching intently. My daughter then says "she makes me proud to be a Democrat". I'll sleep good tonight.

The body language between Dave and Hillary is quite interesting. Both very relaxed and you can see what makes both people compelling personalities.

Isn't it something that you get a meaningful discussion of the issues on a "comedy" show like TDS and Dave, as opposed to the "credible" news channels (according to Herr Chenney) like Faux.

17. Trying to remember if I ever could stand her......
Edited on Sat May-01-04 08:39 AM by formernaderite
....all the Clinton era triangulation always left me with a sour stomach. Hillary is a political and marital opportunist, I wish we'd make room for the notion that our party has many more qualified women than her.

8. I had a problem with it, too
After listening to the full interview, I was unsure if I'd just heard a Republican or a Democratic senator. I mean, it was *that* indistinguishable.

In an attempt to look moderate and reasonable and responsible, Hillary basically stood for nothing except status quo. I didn't expect her to sling wild charges or appear rabid, but for goodness sake, at least question the doctrine of pre-emption that got us into this mess. If the Democrats can't do even this, then our country is in serious damn trouble.

9. She didn't just support the war
...she supported it with the same empty platitudes and mindless pap that the Administration uses.

Unbelievable.

24. the Larry King interview is where I saw what a corporatist whore she is
I used to like her. Now I hate her.

She should be kicked out of the Democratic party.

She is a sellout, a traitor, and is kissing Rethuglican ass.

Fuck her.

We need an opposition party, not this kiss-ass shit.

11. sounds like she is trying too hard to kiss some RW ass
so they'd lay off of her. she's trying to build her case for 2008. but if she keeps talking this nonsense, she's going to lose me too--and I adore both her and bill for what they've done for the country. she needs to take a page out of dean's book and stand up for convictions. i'm so sad to hear this. but i remember seeing her interview with katie couric and she struck me a little TOO moderate as well. c'mon hillary!! you're better than that!!!!

13. I cannot put it as succintly as you, but that is my feeling. She
sounded like a RW spokesperson. I think because she VOTED for the war, she cannot disentangle herself from all this mess.
I hope Kerry can do a better job.

14. It may be because she voted for the war.....but ...she is in a different
category than any other Senator...She was married to a president for 8 years...that's a lot of first hand experience for the job of president and first lady...and they do belong to an exclusive club...granted..they may not be friends but it's a special membership without a doubt. She may be coming from that experience, and she is representing New York now..not anyone else.

Having said that..she is interesting to listen to...and Dave was seriuos last night...wonder what the audience thought of it all.
They come there to be entertained...not have a political discussion.

15. When you kiss up to the bully, in hopes that he will leave you alone,
he will still take your lunch and steal your money...he just may not give you the bloody nose to go along with it..

Wise up, Hillary.....and all dems..

THE REPUBLICANS WOULD KILL ALL DEMOCRATS IF THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH IT..

For now, they will settle for "eunuch-ization", and verbal assassination, but if our leaders stay silent for much longer, they will not settle for long.:(

20. You make a good point. The freepers and dittoheads would
not hesitate for a second to string Hillary up by the neck, yet she kisses up to the regime. She's either an immoral opportunist, or not nearly as smart as some give her credit for.

19. DINO!
It turned my stomach. In discussing the war, with a couple of exceptions, she sound just like a neocon.

She didn't act like a Democrat. She acted, at best, like a DLC'er, but more like a DINO. She was there to promote her book, but still....

With what is perhaps the most important election in this nation's history coming up, thousands killed in an illegal war, and our nation being consumed with fascism, one of our "supposed" leading Dems spends her time on national television being gratuitous of the Bush regime, and does nothing to further the Democratic cause.

It's apparent to me, that Hillary is truly a spawn of the DLC, is an unabashed supporter of Israel's Sharon (she commented last night on the need to support Israel), and is an unapologetic globalist who seems to only have her self-interests in mind.

Her appearance left me feeling as though she doesn't really care if Bush wins. She could live with it. Is this because she's thinking of running in 2008? Whatever, any hope she may of had of getting MY vote someday, just died an early, and complete death.

21. just a thought
maybe she's doing this to avoid creating a controversy & overshadowing Kerry during the election. you know the freepers & media would have an orgy over anything "controversial" that she said, so hopefully, that's why she's sounding like someone in the administration....
