More Drudge Lies: "No one from Dean campaign leaked anything to Drudge."
Blog for America

Drudge -- Wrong Again

Anyone who knows anything about how the DNC works -- knows that there is no way any of the candidates for president could have any impact on the DNC chairmanship -- least of all the Dean Campaign. Particularly in the days following the New Hampshire primary regardless of the result. No one from the Dean Campaign leaked anything to Drudge -- this report is like a National Enquirer headline proclaiming "Martians surprised that George Bush is our leader"

Now back to the process of encouraging Americans to participate in their democracy.... Keep the focus on how each of us can encourage one more friend, co-worker, or family member to join the Dean Campaign this week.

Ask them to visit our website or this blog and sign-up.

1. But now Dean will have to answer the question
Someome will surely ask him if he thinks McAuliffe is the right guy for this election. He could duck it easily and say that he's too focused on defeating Bush but now that the question has been asked.... Is this a Rove move?

2. Indeed
The question could now come up to all of the candidates. "What do you think about the report that Howard Dean wants to unseat McAuliffe? Do you think McAuliffe is the right leader for the DNC?", etc.

It will be interesting to see what kind of answers they get, if this indeed becomes an issue.

3. they'll all answer emphatically "yes, he's excellent"

They're all smart enough to know what the RNC is doing, trying to split them. Why would they help the RNC out?

They all appeared last week at some DNC dinner, and every single candidate started by thanking McAuliffe and saying what an excellent job he's doing.

Nothing but unity at that dinner. Rove probably saw it and freaked out. :-)

4. Dean vs. McAuliffe
If Dean is smart, he will avoid flying in small planes (ala JFK, Jr. and Wellstone) and invitations for picnics in Fort Marcy Park!
