I just heard a reporter say that this was a "defensive" response from attack by the insurgents. So todays bombing in Fallujah is retribution for them attacking our Marines?
See, if you surround a city in another country that you were never asked to come into in the first place, and you take bulldozers and build walls of dirt to prevent any from escaping, and then besiege the entire city, when someone shoots at you, you are only defending yourself. In fact, your entire mission is "defensive" in nature.
See, we're really having truce talks, we aren't really attacking anyone. We asked them to lay down their arms and surrender. Anything that happens is their fault, don't you understand? War has different definitions than those encountered day to day...
