Wish I'd said this ( a response to a RWinger on chain e-mail)
This response will motivate me not to be so reticient in responding to the RW e-mail crap I get in the future! :)

My father's e-mail to me: "This neighbor sends a lot of patrotic stuff to everyone she knows thinking all the recipients are Bush fans. I don't know the respondent but admire his guts for disagreeing. Read the bottom one first."

I slept last night and I will sleep tonight, and yes I thank God that I have a roof over my head and a safe place to sleep. I spent my time, 17 months of it, in conditions that were as bad or worse, and in a war too similar. And I remember, and I remember that I pledged that I would not rest if once again America squandered her most precious gift - her young and gifted citizens. She is doing that now, and G. W. Bush the S.O.B. that occupies the White house now sent them there; and he sent them on a quest based on lies and the most faulty planning. And in doing so he has placed America in greater danger, for he has increased our enemies a thousand-fold and forged their hatred into hot steel. And he has done so to chase an unholy Grail, a golden cup - filled with oil, and on itself is inscribed the name Haliburton.
So pray with me for those unlucky souls sent to defend the hallowed holdings of Haliburton and their like, those beautiful young men and women who want so badly to live - just like you and I do. Those young targets that dubya has put their for his greater glory are there to do our bidding. And God help us if we don't fight to get them home, and may God forgive George Bush his greed and his stupidity.

SLEEP LAST NIGHT?

Bed a little lumpy...

Toss and turn any...

Wish the heat was higher...

Maybe the a/c wasn't on...

Had to go to the john...

Need a drink of water...

?

?

?

Scroll down

Yes...
It is like that!

Count your blessings, pray for them,

Talk to your Creator

and

the next time

when...

the other car cuts you off and you must hit the brakes,

or

you have to park a little further from Walmart than you want to be,

or

you're served slightly warm food at the restaurant,
or

you're sitting and cursing the traffic in front of you,

or

the shower runs out of hot water,

Think of them...

Protecting your freedom!

DO NOT DELETE-PLS PASS ON-Message from Iraq

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country." Semper Fi
1stSgt Dave Jobe

The attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq. They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost.

3. the news they get is probably 100 times more slanted than what passes
for news stateside.

They are hostages to the neocon agenda and they deserve better.

4. Picture was taken Sept. 9, 2003, in preparation for anniversary of 9-11

We had 31 American casualties in Sept. 2003, 35 casualties Aug. 2003. At the current rate of 4.63 daily casualties (723 US deaths to date), we will have over 1,000 casualties by July, nearly half the number of those who had died in 9-11, well over if you include life-altering injuries.

And..."only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq?" The reinforcements have arrived. When they will leave, no one knows.

2. Awesome response
That was a great response to someone who only "half-thinks". Half thinking is what got us in the war, and half-thinking is what is keeping fourty-odd percent of the country behind the war in Iraq while the murdering thugs in the White House count their barrels of oil and blood.
