What is Ed Gillespes war record?
We all know the war records of Cheney, Rush, Chimpy and Rove (or lack thereof). But Gillespe has been on the attack about John Kerry's service record. Has this guy performed any service to his country or did he hide behind anal cysts, his pregnant wife or an amazing disappearing National Guard record?

4. He's 42, looks like no military
Here's some bio tidbits from the RNC web site. Maybe we've given Rove too much credit:

successfully urged CBS to abandon its plans to air an historically inaccurate and unfairly negative television movie about President and Mrs. Reagan

management of the highly regarded convention program in Philadelphia in the summer of 2000; his service as senior communications advisor in Austin; his aggressive spokesman role during the historic recount in Florida;

He was general strategist for Elizabeth Dole’s Senate campaign

he served for over a decade as a top aide to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX).

He was a principal drafter of 1994’s “Contract with America,” which helped Republicans win control of the U.S. House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years.

AND I bet he's the architect of the Catholic lurch to the right as well:

a graduate of the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. While at CUA, he began his career on Capitol Hill as a Senate parking lot attendant.

12. We shouldn't get distracted into whether the RNC Chair has a military...
... record or not. Then, we'd have to start defending every Dem from McCauliffe on down.

What this is about is that THEY have chosen to attack and impugn the patriotism and military service of JOHN KERRY, our candidate for PRESIDENT.

The only relevant comparison (and it's a doozy) is the military record of THEIR CANDIDATES: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

THEY have made that an issue. We must keep that focus like a laser!
