Roy Moore is not going to get an act passed.

This is like if someone introduced a Act to make Islam the National Religion. The scariness is only porportional to its possibility of getting passed, which is exactly zilch. This act is about Roy Moore trying to change the law to force a reversal of the 10 commandment decision.

7. not only that.. i doubt the supreme court
would allow it to stand if it did get passed.

I agree with you; massive over reaction. Anyone can propose anything.

`Sec. 1260. Matters not reviewable

`Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the Supreme Court shall not have jurisdiction to review, by appeal, writ of certiorari, or otherwise, any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an element of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official personal capacity), by reason of that element's or officer's acknowledgement of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government.'.

Oh fuck no!!! Nothing to worry about. Why the fuck does any officer of the US have to affirm acknowledgement of God for shit!!???

WHAT IN THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE!!!??????

9. do yourself a favor, look up all the acts introduced in 2003.
I've read the whole thing now.

First of all, the bill was immediately defered to judiciary committee, where it will stay forever. Second, if you do review all acts introduced over a year, you will find some amazing insanities to make this look like a walk in the park.

I don't think you appreciate the fact that this Act has little chance of going anywhere, nor realize that many many acts this crazy and worse get introduced to congress on a regular basis and never go anywhere.

11. the Patriot Act is crazy,

exeptions to the 4th amendment wrt 'war-on-drugs' and 'war-on-terrorism' are crazy.

Yet those were passed.

What if dominionists get enough of their people on that judiciary committee? They already got people of theirs in the government and in the justice system.
It's not like those insane proposals are thrown out because of their insanity, instead they're being processed.

10. That alone makes it worry free actually
there is no way the SCOTUS would allow something that inherently erodes their own power. They are political beasts too.
