Drudge is claiming that there's a video of JK saying he threw his medals
back in 1971. He also says that ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA will play it Monday morning. If you want to read more it's over at Drudge... I refuse to post his link.

1. I think Kerry did say that back then, but it turned out he didn't
have his with him. I can't remember the whole story, but he threw some ribbons or something, but not his medals.

3. He threw his ribbons. But other people were throwing their medals
so it really was not very clear cut on his part.
I am sorry this is coming back to haunt him.

felt it to be unwinnable, unjust and a waste of lives (American and otherwise).

Sounds like that makes him a hero TWICE.

Meanwhile the current crop of republican idiots never risked their neck or took a stand for ANYTHING.

6. So what?
Throwing the medals was a symbolic action. I really don't care if it were ribbons or metals. Does it really matter? I'm sure it matters to those chickenhawks who couldn't bother to show up when it was their time to put up, though.

12. Exactly. They were his to do with what he wanted. He earned that right.
Now where are bunkerboy's records, let alone anything aproaching the honors earned and bestowed on Kerry?

Let's compare them side by side.

Oh, right - bunkerboy went to the dentist and got a lollypop.

7. what about the
"youthful descretion" defense? Or maybe, "Yes, I threw my ribbons, but little georgie bush was throwing up." Kerry was making big decisions while Bush was deciding what to drink during his cocaine binges.

10. This only makes him a war hero twice over. 1 for fighting. 2 for
realizing it's corruption death and destruction. If throwing medels is a way to stop that carnage, then John Kerry...God bless you. A real American Hero. Fuck drudge and the CHICKEN HAWKS he represents.

13. AT LEAST HE HAD MEDALS TO THROW
unlike others during the time. This is old news. He already said that he threw his ribbons but kept his medals. I think this will have no impact on election/polls etc. THe RNC shouldn't go into the Vietnam thing. That is not a strong point for the Selected One.

15. I don't think people are understanding this...
It is implying that Kerry is lying now about what he intended back then. he now claims that he never implied he was throwing his own medals.

the tape, if it exists, has him saying otherwise.

National Guard, this is mild and this is nothing.

So what!!!!!

be at the protest. He still has his medals.
