Okay, we were told Iraq was an imminent threat, they had WMD and our officials knew where they were at. More than half the Americans bought off on it and supported it. It wasn't true. When we were actually invading, the administration changed the reason to "free the Iraqi people" while they were bombing and killing thousands of Iraqi people, so that wasn't ture. Then they began to talk about how critical it was to overthrow Saddam, which we did that over a year ago. Oh yes, Mission Accomplished.
Now, Bush is saying that it is critical "for the world" that we bring democracy to Iraq and other areas in world, in order to do so, we must stay the course, no matter how many Americans are killed, no matter how many allies bail on us. This pResident will not change his course because he's making billions and doesn't mind the bloodshed. Unfortunately, he sounds like one hell of a strong determined leader to the simple people incapable of thinking for themselves. What I want to know is why no one asked him to explain himself, for the benefit of our dying troops, what the hell he's talking about. How is shoving democracy down the throats of scared people good for the world? Explain how it's good for the U.S. I totally understand how its good for companies like Halliburton and Carlyle. That's a no-brainer. He isn't even trying to explain or sell his position. At this point, just him saying it is enough. FOR WHO? Oh yeah, the press. WTF
All of their reasons for this war are idiotic. I just can't comprehend the people supporting and believing the lies or the excuses for their lies. I'm still hearing about how awful Clinton was for his cigars. The other day, I stood up at work and asked everyone who was hurt or affected by Clinton and Monica. Guess what, it didn't hurt anyone. Our future is at stake and people need to wake up. It's too distressing!
