Texas Republicans are in trouble!
State GOP money trail muddy, possible violations of law

AUSTIN -- The Texas Republican Party went on a drive during the last major statewide elections to raise corporate cash like never before, collecting $2.2 million from companies such as energy firms and nursing home chains.

While raising the money was legal, it may have been spent in violation of state law, the Houston Chronicle found through a review of more than 10,000 pages of state and federal campaign finance reports.

Texas law prohibits political parties from spending corporate or labor union money on anything other than running a party primary, paying for a convention or administrative expenses. State law also requires those funds to be spent through a separate, restricted account, which can also include money from other sources.

2. Any fines they get are a "cost of doing business"
that have already been calculated on a cost-benefit basis. See: http://www.democraticunderground.com/articles/04/04/24_cold.html

3. Yes, just like the $90,000 Bu$h was fined for not disclosing
GOP money raised/spend during the Florida Election Theft.

4. The time has come to say it:
The Rim-publicans have become a party of crooks, scumbags and weasels. If the Rat-publican party represents 1/2 of the American population, then we're in serious trouble. They can't ALL be crooks. (or can they?) Surely they must see what their party has become. And it hasn't gone unnoticed, by the way.

Buckminster Fuller said that something happened to the party, about 30 years ago. He said that the party 'chose the way of lack, of finite resources', versus an expanding economy which is a win-win situation. The moderates jumped ship, and all that remained were radical, grabby, dishonest types.

A party that I'll have nothing to do with.
