1. Oh, lordy
So hard to chose. The huge loss of life tips me in favor of the war in Iraq.

5. The coup of 2000 started it all
None of the other atrocities could have happened without that one.

6. I voted Iraq
but I object to the "next to Vietnam" part.

The long reaching ramifications of invading Iraq could make Vietnam look like the Spanish American War.

Will ultimately prevent any effective opposition to the other crimes mentioned.

9. All of the above, but the scariest one is...
...Scalia as Chief Justice, because he will be more moderate than all of the other * appointees!

This is my biggest fear.

11. The people
Everyone who let that emperor dictator take over without protesting, then blindly letting him do what he wants. Someday you'll be answering to your children just as the children of Germans did for Hitler. I have the protest photos, letters to show I did my part. I just wish I could get a copy of those FBI files showing I'm a hysterical terrorist (librarian and teacher). What did you do? I'm campaigning to stop this reign of terror by our leaders. DO something.

16. gotta go with SCOTUS
Never before and never again will we see something as disturbingly undemocratic as that. Never again because they actually wrote into the decision that it was NOT to be used as a precedent. Pretty freaking amazing.

17. Excellent post ALL your arguments/suggestions are insightful, very tough..
I have to go with the fundamental lost of our rights (Patriot Act) as the basis, excuses and the beginnings of all future exploitations in this country...

That (unfortunately) has yet to come...

18. Talk about your target-rich environments...
The most amazing abuse -- don't know about worst -- is how easily the corporate-owned mainstream newsmedia is able to marginalize, minimize, or otherwise dismiss each and every one of them.

I cannot choose.

It all sucks.
