Would you feel safer with George Bush Jr or John Kerry as president ?
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 10:10 PM by kentuck
I heard Hannity or some right-winger ask a similar question today. Who do you want to be Commander in Chief in these times - John Kerry or George W Bush? Now, with a brain the same size as a piss ant, we can recall that George Jr has already struck out once. Why should we feel secure that it won't happen again?

Why should we feel like George Jr would be the best leader to protect us? He is arrogant. He is a bully to weaker nations. He lies and deceives. He is aggressive. He has very poor judgment - witness the invasion of Iraq. He has no diplomatic skills. He has managed to piss off even those that we have called our allies for the last 60 years. Tell me one good reason why I should feel secure with George Jr at the helm. I feel lucky we made it through another day.

(edited the title because it was sinking like a rock :) )

1. Kerry, hands down.
"Tell me one good reason why I should feel secure with George Jr at the helm." ---- Sorry, I can't come up with one because you shouldn't.

I don't watch or listen to Hannity, et. al. Forget that saying "Know your enemies". How much more do we need to know about them?

And I certainly agree with your statement - "I feel lucky we made it through another day."

2. Because that is the question they are asking their supporters.....
We must have a response for it. It is not good enough to let them pretend that George Jr is a great leader and we should all feel safer with him in charge. Because we shouldn't feel safer with him in charge. Nothing he does inspires me to feel better that he is in charge and may be in charge for 4 more years. That should create a new market for sleeping medications.

3. Their supporters
I doubt we will change any supporters who listen to Hannity. But yes, we do need a response. That will be difficult with the suck-up complicit media.

I think the main point to hammer is Bush going after Iraq at the expense of ignoring Bin Laden & Al Qaeda. There are many reasons to feel less secure and safe with Bush in power but getting the message out will be tough. They have more money, the media in their pocket and Kerry does not come across clear, concise and no holds barred.

We need a fearless pit bull willing to face the wrath of Bush & Co. I don't put anything past these murderers. And they control just about everything.

Groups like MoveOn are quite effective and should be supported. They can attack without fear of political consequences.
