Whats up with Wolf Blitzer?
I rarely watch CNN or any of those news channels, but I caught this piece with Wolf Blitzer interviewing this Vietnam vet who was pretty hard core anti=Kerry and his anitwar activitys.

OK, fair enough.

But then Wolf said he would have on (after the break, I guess) someone with a very differnet perspective on Kerrys Vietnam activities....I was expecting someone who actually served with Kerry or was in Vietnam around the same time, or on swift boats.....
...but NO! Wolf said it was someone from Kerrys campaign staff!.....thats not a very balanced perspective at all!

This was pretty transparently loaded.....against Kerry.

3. Not America, Amerika. Not news, "news"
Funny how the New Amerika and it's broadcast "news" shows so resemble the Old Soviet Union and IT'S broadcast "news" shows.

4. I was pretty disappointed by that too
I know there are Vietnam vets out there willing to speak for Kerry, where the hell are they?

7. There you have a BIG part of the problem.
CNN makes the decision on who gets to represent whatever story they want to present. There may be 50 Viet Nam vets who would be happy to speak for Kerry...but if CNN doesn't want them on the air, they don't get on the air.

Same for all the other cable channels and networks, of course.

5. There's a group of foam at the mouth
anti-Kerry vets who want to put together a 100,000 man march of anti-kerry Vietnam vets in September. This I expect, is even more people than Rove could hire to pretend to be Vietnam vets.

They are serious and commited.

13. I believe one million anti-bush vets could be rounded up
for a march on Washington more easily than 100 anti-Kerry vets could ever hope for, especially without Rove paying dearly.

You can take that to the bank.

9. I saw someone from the Bush Campaign last night. .
on Paula Zahn's show spinning propaganda for Bush & co. I thought to myself--that's not a credible source! He'll say whatever is necessary to get people to vote for Bush in November. I mean, they're not even using White House spokespeople--but campaign spokespeople. WTF?

17. A lot of shows pull this crud...
They'll have on a conservative shill from some GOP front think-tank with a stupid name like "Americans for the preservation of freedom and giving fuzzy kittens to cute kids" without mentioning the group's hugely pro-Republican agenda, and they'll have on a liberal commentator who is clearly labeled as being a Democratic spokesperson.

Net result, it allows the show to present a subtle bias against the left by creating the perception that the democratic pundit is biased because of his employer, while the person spewing GOP talking points is percieved as being "independent" and "unbiased" despite the fact that they are, in essence, GOP operatives.
