Starting a campaign of sorts, I will call it 'Operation Judicial Defense'
Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 02:27 PM by ck4829
I was thinking on a way to fight back against the Intolerant Dominionists after I had posted my message about SB 1558 yesterday.
My message about SB 1558
Then it hit me, we need to start a campaign against SB 2082 and SB 1558
This is what we need to do:
1. We need to be Vigilant and keep our eyes open for other acts
2. We need to go to groups such as PFAW and Americans United and tell them about these acts
3. We need to get the support from secular Senators and Representatives who are against these undemocratic acts
4. We need a petition saying these acts undermine our Pluralistic and Secular nation and heritage
5. We need to make sure the Supreme Court declares these acts unconstitutional

SB 2082 and 1558 are unconstitutional because:
1. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion
2. It narrows the power of the Courts, messing with Separation of Powers

Lastly SB 1558 is wrong because it attempts to make the Declaration of Independence binding when it is actually not much more than a complaint.
