No offense to Bela, of course.

Zell makes Warner look like Stephen Hawkings.

8. He so melodramatic ...
Wolfie and Perle are so sure that they and their half-baked ideology is all that stands between the world and salvation. How do people become so sure of themselves that they claim the decision of life or death over others as a right?

13. Why are some people convinced they are psychic?
They've spent their careers feeding Manichean, apocalyptic scary stories to receptive people in the right places, in areas where it's usually impossible to immediately prove them wrong.

18. Ironic they're bleeding heart liberals
when it comes to the case of Iraq. I'm sick of hearing "for 35 years blah blah blah" "brutal regime" blah blah "rape rooms" blah "mass graves".

Uh... Mr. Protege of the Prince of Darkness: WHERE ARE THE WMD???

But after several events where we finally took back towns, guess what?

We were greeted as liberators.

Yeah, I believe you, Wolfie. You're the one who said we'd be greeted with flowers before we went in.

Did he REALLY say (and I'm paraphrasing here), "If they'd stop thinking of themselves as being 'occupied', the transition would be a lot smoother..."?????

17. I can't count how many times I've heard Wolfy described as brilliant...
...usually in reference to some paper he wrote.

Now we know the key to it: when he writes papers, he gets to control what the opposition says. Doesn't real life suck the way people won't follow your nice, neat script, Wolfy?

"irresponsible", I think it was.

There's a growing consensus, according to Lieberman, that the entire country is uniting behind the Iraq War.

"I am heartened (about conditions in Iraq)"

"We are all moving in the same direction (no need to scrutinize the decisions that got us here)"

Too bad Kerry will kill the anti-Iraq-war movement....

27. Can you say QUAGMIRE????
Our "allies" in the "coalition" are leaving the sinking ship.

The trend is that the situation is getting MORE deadly to US troops/mercs/contractors.

There is no one to hand the gov't over to.

There is no Exit strategy.

29. I have an exit strategy!
Take Perle, Wolfy, Cheney, Condy, Feith, every current and former "Fellow" of the AEI, and any other neocons we can yank from under their rocks, issue them BDU's, full kit, rifle and ammo, let them handle the situation personally, and everyone else EXIT.

30. Have to understand where Lieberman is coming from
He and many of the other neocons have dreams of freeing Israel from terrorism, and somehow they view Iraq as the key to bringing that about. I'm not exactly sure how they get from point A to point B on this, but that's the theory. They all talk about how Iraq will be "transformational" and how the seed of democracy they plant there will spread and sprout with others. And they're keeping the illusion alive.

It's also interesting to see how they've adopted so many of the tactics the Israelis have used in their occupied territories. I know many people warned that Iraq would turn into our own huge West Bank, but I don't think many people realized how true that would be.

not the US.

Is is not Treason to hold another country's interests over one's own?

35. Another shining example of
a total waste of time and energy. This is the Armed Services Committee ,but let`s just use the questioning time to refute what Kerry said over the weekend? And by the way, disagreeing with Wolfowitz is the same thing as not supporting our troops. I am so fed up.

Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 12:40 PM by khephra
He's pushing that politicians start using the term "limited sovereignty" instead of of "sovereignty" for the Iraq situation.
