Towns Ask North Carolina To Repeal Anti-Gay Marriage Law

(Chapel Hill, North Carolina) Two neighboring communities want the state of North Carolina to repeal its Defense of Marriage Act.

In Chapel Hill, which has one of the highest concentrations of universities and colleges in the US, the motion was proposed by openly gay Councilman Mark Kleinschmidt.

It would be a way for the town to say, "Hell yeah, we're about fairness, we're about equality, we're about treating people fairly," Kleinschmidt said.

"If that means stepping out and making some noise, then give me the noisemaker," he said.

2. Fundies have so many laws right now

They are trying to cover all the bases! But we are on to them. The bigger thay are the harder thay fall, but they do eventually fall.
