Why aren't the Bush twins in Iraq?
I don't see why more people aren't asking this question. If Bush thinks the war is such a good idea, why doesn't he send his daughters there? They're the right age. I would think that the soldiers' families would be wondering why they have to make the sacrifice when Bush doesn't. Why doesn't someone call him on this?

1. Because they're rich...

...and didn't need the money to pay for their college education.
Next question?

5. Ok, I'll support the draft... but...
Edited on Sat Apr-17-04 10:02 AM by WillW
only if one's chances of being selected for service are directly proportional to one's family's income. The greater the income, the greater your chances! This seems only fair. The rich reap the benefits of American capitalism to a far greater degree than the rest of us, so it follows that they have a greater interest in service that will keep the machine well oiled.

So.. bye bye Bush twins....Have a pleasant trip to Iraq... send postcards...

6. I'd support a draft if the first draftees
were taken in order of their parents' rank in government: first the Bush twins, then any draft age offspring of Cabinet members and presidential advisors, then the offspring of Senators and Congresscritters, and only when we'd run out of D.C.-based Federal officials would the draft boards start in on ordinary folk.

There'd be a lot fewer wars.

They would fail the drug test. Same reason their old man ditched his service.

The twins would have to cut down on their drinking if they were sent to Iraq.

17. Well, if I remember right, she got probation, and time in
a posh clinic for rehabilitation. Where she was discovered to have drugs on her.

Poor little thing. But where the * family is concerned, it is a painful and private family matter. Not to be discussed in public nor in the press. And certainly not to be prosecuted, and not punishable by doing prison time. That is for the unfortunate others.

12. Jeb's son George P. would be a terrific asset
Remember how he broke into the home of his former girlfriend and later returned to plow his Ford Explorer across the family's lawn?

Put him in a Hummer and let him rip in Iraq.

/sarcasm

20. We need to keep raising this issue.
I think will pickup some applications at the recruiting office to carry around and hand to likely candidates.

I missed a good opportunity on April 15 at the post office. There was a group of well fed, cheerful "tax protestors" -guys who are backing saxby Chambliss's flat tax bill (the bill to start a national sales tax of 23%.

The twins accompanied daddy to a Ft. Hood Hospital on Easter, the freeps were drooling all over their keyboards.
