This is the headline in today's Fort Worth Star Telegram. I couldn't resist posting this. There may yet be hope for Texas.

6. How can anyone delude themselves NOW
that the TRUTH SLIPPED OUT..... No wonder they were against letting the truth out.... If these sheeple don't see the light with the administration willfully allowing 3000 deaths and all the destruction, they ALL should go to Leavenworth with Bush and Cheney.......that includes RUSH...

7. Carville
I want to hear Carville say he was wrong when he made his statement on Crossfire in May 2002 that "it's obviously idiotic to think he (Bush) knew this was going to happen..."

8. :)
It's really good that stuff like this is getting out, and by stuff I mean the truth. We've been living in the lies of the Bush* Administration for too long and it's only a matter of time until some mainstream media channel realizes the truth as well.

Official: Bush was told of attack plot

By Eric Lichtblau and David E. Sanger

The New York Times

WASHINGTON - President Bush was told more than a month before the 9-11 terrorist attacks that supporters of Osama bin Laden planned an attack within the United States with explosives and wanted to hijack airplanes, a government official said Friday.

Bush received the warning in a secret briefing at his ranch in Crawford on Aug. 6, 2001. A report by a joint congressional committee last year alluded to a "closely held intelligence report" that month about the threat of an attack by al Qaeda, and the official confirmed an account by The Associated Press on Friday saying that the intelligence report was in fact part of the president's briefing in Crawford.

The disclosure appears to contradict the White House's repeated assertions that the briefing the president received about the al Qaeda threat was "historical" in nature and that the White House had little reason to suspect an al Qaeda attack within American borders.

Members of the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks have asked the White House to make the Aug. 6 briefing memo public. The Associated Press account of it was attributed to "several people who have seen the memo." The White House has said nothing in it pointed specifically to the kind of attacks that actually took place a month later.
