If I ran the country (and, believe me, you're all lucky I *don't*) and my NSA constantly said, "Well, no one TOLD me to...etc, etc." she'd be SO fired.

It's just unbelievable.

And then, to hear all the pundits say she did well because she "held her ground????" I mean, that's tantamount to saying, "She did a really good job sticking to the lie."

I haven't talked to a single person who didn't think she did a great job, even the Dems at my job...

.... it's a matter of opinion.. of course everyone here was already saying "she lied she lied" days before it even happened.. predictable and typical response, regardless of how it actually came out.

But she is a smart African American women with alot of power, a classical pianist, etc.... fluent Russian and read 'War and Peace' in the language Tolstoy wrote it in, etc, etc (you read the story)... and people respect her alot..

Not everyone is rabidly political... they just "like" her...

Don't expect everyone to be like you.

7. My favorite Condi moment yesterday.

When Commissioner Ben Veniste got her to finally say what the title of the Aug.6 PDB was and she said it as though it was the most insignificant thing in the world. "I THINK it was...something...like...Bin Laden determined....to attack inside..." All the while furrowing her brow and shaking her head back and forth as though this was something she had to burrow up from the deepest, darkest recesses of her memory. Here's a woman who seems to know every leaf and branch of the intelligence "structure" (a theme which she ran right into the ground) but ask her the title of the PDB that Bush received a mere month prior to 9/11 and we get "I THINK it...it was...something...like...".
