Is a radical liberal to Hannity... it's part of the RW agenda. They portray moderates like Clinton as wild liberals so anybody to the left of them is viewed as WAY out there.

8. Conservative Vs Liberal views

Liberals are inclusive. They seek to give voice to as many positions as possible. From this they attempt to form a consensus of direction.

Conservatives believe there is one true view. And they just happen to have it. Thus giving voice to other views is in their mind the liberal view.

Thus from our point of view NPR seems to be sliding to the right because they give voice to some conservative casters. But this is the job of NPR. The name of the main show is All Things Considered.

But even with this seeming slide to the right NPR will seem to be a hot bed of liberal rhetoric to the right because they consider multiple views and do so openly.

NPR no longer give much time at all to left views. I could stand a slip toward the center, but that is not what they are doing.

They are doing what most media outlets did long ago.

Their 'news' and news commentary is highly and clearly biased. But they allow their 'entertainment', such as talk shows like Diane Rehm and Tavis Smiley, and games shows like "Wait, wait..." to retain their left bent.

So just like the Dallas Morning News, there are liberal points of view but they are all pushed off into the "Living" section where they can be disregarded as entertainment.

Media all over has followed this model and they will point to their "entertainment" programming as examples of the other side, knowing full well that nobody takes any of it as seriously as the news.

NPR is over and defending them it pointless. Anyone with 2 ears and a brain can hear what they have become.

that would be excellent, but unfortunately it is so far from true.

The NPR guys and gals go out of their way to pander to the right. They are either true believers who toe the Bush line no matter how ridiculous, or they are afraid to express the truth.

Not as bad as Fox of course, and at times they actually do allow information that is critical of Bush to make its way onto the air. But nothing at all like a pro-Demcratic -- or even pro-democracy -- network.
