5. Hume said that US soldiers have less chance of being killed....
than people in California. See there basically the same geographic size (this is often mentioned as a no WMD found excuse) but Franken just pointed out that there are 25 Million Iraqis and 36 Million Californians......

Hume caught clearly distorting information.

and 100,000+ US soldiers, so when you do the numbers properly the chance of getting "murdered" is 65x higher.

When confronted with the above math that is more sensible (and less complimentary to the Bushies), Hume said something to the effect that "it's a crude comparison, but is illustrative of something." Oh yeah, like what? Bad math? Your arrogance? The brown stains on your nose?

6. The Hume story I believe was when he basically told
family of soldiers that died in Iraq to "get over it".
