3. Me too
The US media is shut out by the Bush cabal but it must be a nightmare for our family, friends and neighbors in Iraq.

Pictures are worth a thousand words...

4. Who cares?
The word "bitch" is more important than those that lost their lives today. :eyes: </sarcasm>

It's very sad to see these pictures. I hope that the soldiers come back home soon from Iraq.

Whatever happened to those 12 people today is all Bush's fault. The blood is on his hands.

6. Yeah bud
George Bush (ban me if you must) remains a puke gutted asshole sucking sonofabitch corporatist pig. A new President could negotiate with the UN to help the place out while we withdraw. we shouldn't have gone in. I see little good that can come from us doing more of the wrong thing.

5. I can say definitely not.
In the past week (especially since this strong insurgency has begun), I've heard from and of so many folks who are now second-guessing the entire Iraq endeavour. It's sad that it takes this type of circumstance to incite somewhat thoughtful reflection in the populace..

7. I am not so sure
where I live, I see people at work, at walmart, not even aware that a war is being wagged over there and they are some who even look at you kind of confused when you mention iraq, as if they don't know what you are talking about really

11. We haven't a clue how many.
The 12 dead were from Ramadi. I haven't even heard a guesstimate from Fallujah.

And if they keep it up, day in day out. There are way more of them than us.

15. I think it will begin to hit home as more and more die.
We don't know the number of dead or injured in the past few days but all indications are it is significant, with no end in sight. Soon, most people will know someone personally and it will stop being a meaningless statistic. Denial will turn to anger about the lies that bought this on.

18. We are a nation of ostriches.
Until something too big to ignore happens, we just ignore it. They deaths in Iraq haven't come anywhere near that threshold yet.

More than half the country has no direct stake in Iraq. More than half the country are clueless about the issues. So they just don't give a shit. Hey, they got their $300 tax check from Chimpy, so he's doing a great job.
