Would Muqtada Al-Sadr try to kill Ayatollah Sistani?

Sistani is a moderate cleric when compared to Al-Sadr. In April of 2003, Sadr's forces surrounded Sistani's house in Najaf and forced him to leave. Sistani is now calling for peace and calm in Iraq while Al-Sadr's forces are mounting an insurrection against the US occupied forces.

What would happen if he did this?

but he might arrest him if he gets control. But I think Sistani is too popular (unlike other clerics that support the US which are open game by Al-Sadr). Too risky.

It is good to get others to fight amongst themselves when they are attacking you at every angle. This would not surprise me at all.

Both he and Haeri (Sadr's religious authority), Iraq's highest Shia authorities, have condemned the actions of the occupying powers and voiced moral support for Sadr's position here, though Sistani has an aversion to violence at this point.
