Edwards running ads!!!
Looks like Edwards is finally making his move. He's running ads in Iowa and New Hampshire, and they're very slick, especially compared to Dean's (sorry Deaniacs). I've always said that the supreme determinant of who gets elected is charisma and charm, and Edwards wins hands down in this category. His poll numbers go up every time he's shown on TV, which is why ads are the perfect medium for him to get exposure. Just look at all the press coverage that Dean has gotten over the past few months, and then consider the fact that Edwards got just as big a bump in the polls when he announced in January as Dean has had with all this exposure, and that was only one day's coverage.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: once Edwards gets known to the voters, he's going to shoot into the political stratosphere. I guarantee it.

1. Saw an ad on "Inside Politics". Wow. He is so telegenic.
On top of his many other virtues. I like Edwards so much. He can take on Bush - and he has wonderful plans for getting this country back on track.

3. Damn...
Edwards's ads beat Dean's by far, hands down. It's like comparing a bi-plane to a space shuttle.

And I don't even like edwards...

Edwards is so much more telegenic than Dean. Dean is a red headed step sister compared to Edwards.

7. This is great news.
After watching the debates on CSPAN, I couldn't help but notice Edwards. I mean, what we are really all about here is someone, anyone who can get that monstrosity out of the White House. Edwards has the kind of charm that reminds one of Kennedy.
I can't wait to get home to my own computer (I'm at work)(shhhh), so I can hear the adds. Thanks for the link. If he has a powerful message, like Dean, he should be a strong contender.

8. I've been saying this for a long time
Everyone is going by these polls five months before the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries. While Dean has a lot of momentum, and rightly so, Edwards had yet to spend any money. I would expect Edwards to see a surge in his polling numbers in these states. He only needs to finish 3rd or 4th in Iowa and New Hampshire and then there are a BUNCH of southern primaries. Watch Edwards, he's a real wildcard in this race.

11. I saw this firsthand in NC
Not only does he put on good ads, but his team's response to attack ads was quick and on the mark. I am sure he is the one the Bushies want the _least_.

that Edwards would be the nominee. I still support Dean--no one else is willing to nail Bush to the wall like Dean--but any combination of Dean, Edwards, Graham, and Clark is a winner.

Sorry Kerry fans, despite is excellent record and service record in Vietnam, Kerry is just too much of a waffler.

You can view them, I can't, LOL for some reason.

Looks like he's just talking to people in two of the three ads, from the screencaps.

18. I agree that they have more glitz and style than the Dean ads
but I wonder if the Dean ads actually connect more becuz they are less glitzy? Still good job by Edwards.

19. Come on Edwards, show some leadership on trade and outsourcing
I have hopes for Edwards, a true working class guy who made it with hard work. He needs to get on this - he could get a lot of attention very quickly.

Then again, as a long time DLC-er, he might just be in the corporate cult still. I'll hold out hope for a while.

22. sounds great, we need specifics
I looked at the site, but didn't find much specific, I'll certainly be reading more about Edwards, but I'm hoping some of his backers will give us some specific things he'll do about corporate power, job losses, and the rest.

I'm also really hoping it's going to be more than "stimulate the economy so we'll grow more jobs".
