2. Al's the only person who's allowed to call him "G"
on the pain of death. They're 180 degrees apart politically, but that doesn't mean we can't like each other.

:nuke:
(for the freepers)

7. Love em or hate em
they both fully understand the role theatre can play in politics. When I was in college years back G was speaking and a guy I know ran on stage with a rat mask. Juvenile as hell, but hilarious and deserving.

3. That's one of the things I like about Franken
While he certainly is passionate about his politics, and has been willing to make enemies in the right wing media (Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly), his general appraoch isn't an assault. It makes him more open, but not in a pansy Colmesian way

Can you imagine Ann COulter having even one Liberal Friend?

15. Maher isn't a liberal. He's a libertarian with liberal leanings.

21. Actually, he's a liberal who just calls himself a libertarian
...perhaps out of fear of the "L" word label

18. Yeah, I think she has one -- Sean Hannity.
And as the old saying goes, "With friends like that, you don't need enemies."

4. "What a friend...
not only would he kill somebody on your behalf, he would also do do it slowly and painfully." I think Katherine Lanfer is going to be a great co-host.

8. I Had the Opportunity to Hear Liddy Speak
in person while in college. While I'd never agree with him personally, the guy can tell a great story and had a way with one-liners. Haven't really paid attention to him recently, so I don't know if that's changed.

10. How could it change?
A guy's not going to lose his story telling ability or wit.

11. Well I hear Being a Conservitive Does Things to Your Brain
the freepers being the most obvious example. And some of those folks have lost their sense of humor. Wait...maybe they started that way.

20. Really? Then how do you explain what happened to Dennis Miller?
Used to be fun, now about as far from funny as the gap between Letterman's front teeth.
