some late night tinfoil: Clarke furor and BBV
Okay, the White House had the book for months. They knew exactly what it said, exactly what the issues would be.

They also know that BBV was starting to get a lot of press.

Now we have this huge furor, and BBV hasn't been heard from in a WHILE. Meanwhile, he's holding back Condi from testifying under oath and getting a LOT of time, days and days of distraction, out of it.

Also, attack dogs are onto Clarke, noise noise noise and more noise ......

In the meantime, what's happened to BBV? What's happened to the paper trail?

Remember, evil people don't think the way we do, they think quite differently, and rather than fighting an issue head on, they will glady throw a few people to the wolves in order to create a big bloody diversion.

Their intent is, and always has been, to steal the election. Will all these distractions let them do it?

I'm going to bed now.

5. If you wear it folded with the print on the inside, it gets rid of ...
... the grey.

Makes me feel a lot younger.

6. I will say that it would be rough to get the timing right.
And it's a toss up which they'd think was worse. BBV isn't a direct attack on the WH. Clarke is.

If I had more respect for their competence, this is a theory I might buy, but I don't. All kinds of brown stuff is hitting the fan. BBV is technically complicated and always a difficult sell. It'll be back because it isn't going away, but any headline was going to sideline it.

BushCo is simply reaping what it sowed. The economy and the debt are sheer horrors. Fiscal conservatives want Bush's head on a pike. More moderate Republicans are queasy all day long. Clarke isn't one of us. He's one of them. O'Neil was one of them. Bush is being destroyed by his own. And in some ways it's a pleasure to watch.

The grand old party machine is breaking down. And the men running for Congress on Georgie's coattails are really really really worried because the old biddies didn't like the Medicare bill and the military isn't happy and their families aren't happy and did we mention people have lost jobs because this administration only does whatever makes a CEO happy?

Nothing Georgie does is gonna work. Not to mention how he's starved the states and made the governors look bad. For BBV to go his way, he needs state cooperation. Think the governors want more George?

7. Bob Graham and Hillary Clinton announced the RECORD Act on
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 04:43 AM by Eric J in MN
Bob Graham and Hillary Clinton announced the RECORD Act on March 10, to "Restore Elector Confidence in Our Representative Democracy," but they never made the text public.

Things are a little awkward regarding BBV on account of that. You can still ask your Senators and Congressperson to support "The Voter Confidence Act."

9. could be that holding back Condi, only to let her testify at some point,
is a strategy to take the heat off Bush being called to testify . . . "Hey, we gave you Condi, what more do you need?" . . . or something like that . . .
