Fuck CNN Fuck Dana Milbank and FUCK Candy Crowley
Those two shills are sitting and happily discussing how the Dick Clarke testimony hasn't affected the squatters poll numbers at all. Where are they taking these polls anyway? Goddamn I HATE these lying assholes.
Sorry to regurgitate my anger all over you fellow DUers but it just makes me crazy listening to this shit.
I know I know...so don't listen.

CONCEPT PAPER

Working Group on Preventive and Preemptive Military Intervention

William W. Keller and Gordon R. Mitchell1
Project Coordinators

<Snip>

U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), the ranking Democrat on the Senate
Intelligence Committee, called for an FBI investigation into the forgery of documents cited by President Bush and Secretary Powell as proof of Iraq’s nuclear transactions with Niger. As Rockefeller explained in a letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller: “There is a
possibility that the fabrication of these documents may be part of a larger deception campaign aimed at manipulating public opinion and foreign policy regarding Iraq.”26

The timeliness of Rockefeller’s proposed inquiry was underscored by the
appearance of official documents that lay out official American deception plans: "In a document last autumn, the joint chiefs of staff stressed the need for strategic deception and influence operations as tools of war. The army, navy and air force have been directed to devise plans for information warfare."27

According to defense analyst William Arkin, the Bush strategy lays out goals for information warfare that pursue D5E: "destruction, degradation, denial, disruption, deceit, and exploitation." Arkin notes that the wide array of sites and practices of information control brought into the range of this policy "blurs or even erases the boundaries between factual information and news, on the one hand, and public relations, propaganda and psychological warfare on the other."28

This fusion of military deception programs with media propaganda efforts enabled the Office of Strategic Influence to commission officers from the U.S. Army's Psychological Operations Command to work as interns in the news division of CNN.29

Talking about the most attractive women and men in politics. This is from some "poll" that she is given.

Where is her counter point? She is one dangerous media mess up.
She gives the name journalist a bad name.

15. Just the opposite Koko, I expect the Busueviks to only leave after
some serious dead bodies piled up, one way or another.

This is shaping up to be a terrifying 8 months.

My most ferverent hope is that LIHOP #2 will be the Busheviks cutting off Raygun's feeding tubes so that his death will be "conveniently timed" in October.

Any of their other Plan B's are too horrifying to comprehend but I would give a shout out that San Francisco should watch out because I think LIHOP is coming there next.

why tuning out "the pipeline" of the "hydra," our American Media is so crucial. Although, I do check it out from time to time and post here in indignation...most of the time it's OFF in my house. My sanity for the next 8 months is of prime importance. I don't have much left in the way of sanity after the previous over three years...but hey I gotta keep some away from them! :D laughing hysterically. Being tuned to the tube waiting for them to realize what's been going on is fantasy. Just have to take it in "little bytes."

11. The truth is . . .
most people see everything that happened last week as pure politics. Bush was hurt by Clarke's testimony, but it didn't create positive momentum for the Democrats. Kerry needs to articulate a clear foreign policy/terrorism plan that we can promote and debate.

24. Liberal Media...Where?
Well, I've been lurking among the threads; but now I've decided to join the fun. During the 2000 campaign, I never heard "B43" mention that the economy was going down the drain; but the second the election was stolen for him, all the talking heads started running the economy down. They did such a great job of convincing all of us that we were in dire straits; so when 911 happened, the downward spiral deepened even more. And where was "B43" from 1/21/01 to 9/11/01? On his grand school tour, of course. Lest we forget, he did run as the future "education president"...just like his daddy. What the Bush-kissers don't understand is that there is so much anger bubbling just below the surface; and when election day arrives, it will all explode in their faces.

35. Listening to these orgasmic women on the 'Newschannels'
is beginning to get on my nerves as well. Gloria Borger has begun to be absolutely breathless in her elocution of the word...President.
It is sickmaking.

My mother, who's in her upper 80's and sharp beyond belief was called by CNN for a poll about 4 months ago. When the gal asked the first question, my mother asked her who put her up to asking 'have you stopped beating your wife yet' political questions, becuase it was one of those 'do you support your President in these troubled times', and then proceeded to tell her during a series of interrogatories, that she wasn't going to vote for Bush. No matter what. Then the woman kept pressing: if he did this or that, would you consider voting for Bush, and true to her word she kept saying that no matter what he did or didn't do, whe wasn't going to vote for him. Exasperated, the pollster said that my mother was being non-compliant and terminated the call. So when they don't get the answer they want, they press until they do - push polling, or they just hang up. TO paraphrase Franken: if you knew that while John McCain was doing 4 1/2 years in a prison camp and during that time Bush was doing 4 1/2 pounds of cocaine, whom would you be more likely to vote for?

Also, anybody read the NYT lead Op-Ed piece today? All these election commissioners, secretaries of state in several states are doing what that fugly creep K. Harris did and are co-chairs for Bush-Cheated 2004. Of course they mention a couple of Dems, but you
KNOW in your heart of hearts that if a Dem had a 'problem' like Harris did, the poor asshole would be lynched and every FBI agent in the country would descend upon the state and Candy Crowley would be trucked in with a double-wide to cover the story, with Wolfie riding shotgun.

Edited on Mon Mar-29-04 06:00 PM by ewagner
Actually the poll trumpeted so loudly by CNN shows something rather promising.

True, Bush is shown ahead of Kerry but it is also true that support of Bushco's war on terra is down significantly. Further, Kerry has been on vacation and not pounding Buchco daily while Bush has been spending his campaign loot hammering Kerry everyday. BUT:

It shows that there is a disconnect between Kerry and Clarke.

This is a good thing because it takes away the RW talking points that Clarke is an operative of Kerry's. It also helps Kerry in the sense that he is not seen as politicizing the 9-11 investigations.

Kerry must campaign to fight the images Bushco is painting of him and stay as far away from Clarke as possible.

of Clarke's 9/11 commission testimony.

What most people have seen is stuff like Clarke's allegations on the ABC/CBS/NBC evening news shows, and on the Sun. morning shows.

Most people didn't watch the 9/11 hearing or the cable news stories.

I say it's still far too early for those stupid assholes to be talking about what the lasting effect on Smirky is.

50. Is it time to pull the plug on mainstream media (TV in particular)?
I quit buying newspapers 3 years ago. Oh, occassionally I pick up a rag when I run out of paper to start the fireplace.

I am now at that point with TV cable/satellite subscriptions ... Lately now a day passes where I question why I paying them (Rupert Murdock et al) $100 a month to bring this bullshit and propaganda into my home. Not to mentional the economic colateral damage done to my pocket book via the advertisements every 10 minutes.

Are we not fuelling the Bush machine with our subscriptions?
Do I really want Candy Crowley in my home every evening?
Is it time to pull the plug on this one-way media?
