5. Your vote proves at least one American
opposes the drug war, death penalty, and corporate politicians.

If you simply want to oust Bush, then please vote for Kerry.

7. so we can prove we oppose those things
while putting the most pro-death penalty/drug war/corporate "President" in history back in. But at least we prove we oppose those things so we can feel good! nice trade off!

What bullshit...

Kerry is against the DP (except in the case of terrorists) btw...

He also said that when he was a prosecuter he didn't go after marijuana much.

10. From whose perspective?
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 05:31 PM by HypnoToad
I see many.

In the end, it's down to the person voting. They need to be convinced the candidate speaking is the best.

And Kerry had better come out with an ad that has backbone and speaks with confidence. Otherwise we're screwed and, as with Gore, we will need Nader to be a convenient scapegoat; I don't care how nasty Nader is in real life, he's still a scapegoat...

Nader's IRRELEVANT and I'll never stop saying that. Not when half this country doesn't even vote...

12. Nader is NOT the issue. The Dems are not worth voting for.
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 06:17 PM by ulTRAX
Nader isn't the issue... our dysfunctional election system is. Every citizen SHOULD have the right to vote their conscience without having to worry about the "spoiler effect".

I'm sick of a system that forces citizens to vote the lesser of the evils rather than their conscience. I'm sick of Democrats believing they have a right to all votes left of center. They do not. I'm further sick of a Democratic Party being AWOL on the fight for democracy itself... refusing to push for basic reforms to our anti-democratic system, then criticizing someone who stands for such principles. The real question here is when is the Democratic Party going to be worth voting FOR? Another 4 years has passed since 2000... and what have the Democrats done to attract Nader voters?

That being said... I will NOT be voting for Nader as I did in 96 and 2000. I will hold my nose and vote Democratic just to get Bush out. But I will not stop voicing my contempt for the arrogance and moral cowardice of that party.

13. Nader is the Republican's Best Friend
Nader is actually a Republican operative, supported by neoconservatives. His only objective is to siphon votes from Kerry.
Nader could care less about social justice- it's Nader that Nader is most concerned with. He elected George W.Bush and seeks the re-election of George Bush. Those who support Nader support the agenda of the neoconservatives. It's as simple as that.

14. Only one i can think of
and i just learned of it today. Seems my little rw brother has become well, at the least, disappointed with the *moron...and won't vote for him. But, now he's decided to vote for....Nader. ha!

My dad told me this today, and i was laughing and shaking my head in agreement. He said 'but that's just a vote against a Dem candidate' ....i asked him was he (K bro) planning on voting Dem instead? Dad: 'no, but he's voting for Nader!'

'one less vote for *moron' was all i could say. Take it where you find it,
dp

15. One obvious benefit is
that if enough people do it he can be elected President. And is there
any doubt that as a President he will be in every respect vastly
superior to any of the other two candidates?
