Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 02:33 AM by TruthIsAll
A while back, you told us to "get over it' regarding selection 2000.

You voted for the war when it was an obvious phony, political attempt to influence the 2002/2004 elections for Bush. We knew Bush was lying about WMD, before the vote.

You are vilifying Hugo Chavez, who won a Democratic election and who must fight the Bush Coup attempts daily...

You are talking about lowering corporate income taxes...

It's ok, John, Bush is toast, stop pandering to the right.

Are you with Howard Dean, Wesley Clark, Dennis Kucinich....
or are you with the Lieberman, Biden, Bayh tutu Bushwing of the Democratic party?

2. i for one trust Kerry to do his own thing.
he may be right on the corporate income taxes thing (most of them avoid them or use loopholes anyway; loopholes Kerry aims to eliminate, btw). i'd say it's at least worth a try.

Chavez isn't a saint, and if his people want a recall, then that's democracy as far as i'm concerned...

Kerry and his people are smart, and they are going to work all year to bring us a massive victory in Congress as well as the White House

3. Damn straight, and we are going to help.
In response to this post, it doesn't matter. I am ABB first. Kerry's environmental work alone makes me proud to vote for him.

Are you kidding if you can't tell that Kerry is more like Dean and Clark than the likes of Lieberman you are fooling yourself. Lieberman just barely gets to call himself a democrat half the time. Kerry is most definitely a democrat and he is just fine with me.

4. Answers.
>A while back, you told us to "get over it' regarding selection 2000.

I'd like to see anyone try to bring this up as an issue in the '04 election. It would be total suicide, and would open him up to all sorts of awful attacks.

>You voted for the war when it was an obvious phony,

>for Bush. We knew Bush was lying about WMD, before the vote.

Sorry? I thought it was about oil. Anyway, a lot of your other precious progressives voted for this, too. Perhaps you've forgotten what the political climate was like in this country back when that vote was taken (during the heydey of bush criticism = unpatriotic)

>You are vilifying Hugo Chavez, who won a Democratic election
>and who must fight the Bush Coup attempts daily...

I may be going out on a limb here, but I don't think Hugo Chavez is going to be a big issue in this campaign. Kerry is covering his ass by dissociating himself from a troubled leader, and from his own statement about "foreign" leaders (or whatever it really was.) That's all we need is for the Bushista contingent to start waving around the Chavez-Castro-blahblahblah card in order to pull Cubans in FL into his camp.

>You are talking about lowering corporate income taxes...

It's pretty disingenuous to mention that without mentioning his statement regarding tax increases for families making $200k+ a year. Furthermore, corporations do not have "income" taxes, so I'd suggest you brush up on the hideous monstrosity that is the US tax code.
