Condi has requested that she be allowed to testify before 911 Committee
Just reported on FOX-TV. They emphasized that she was "requesting" to go before the Committee but that she wanted it to be in private, not in public. Anybody else hear this? Anyone else have FOX on? :)

3. Not under oath -- she is duty bound to be honest (their line, not mine)
They issued a letter with the request according to CBS.

20. Then what's your problem with testifying under oath, Condi?
Am I more in awe of the transparency of her lies? Or is it the arrogance?

I don't know.

6. I hope the commission insists it be on the record,
under oath. We don't need another Faux News interview.

7. I just heard it on CNN
Are the testimonies in private under oath? They should deny her and tell her it must be in public. She wants to answer Clarkes accusations.

9. I heard this on CNN but I thought it was still going to be in private.
She just asked to meet with the committee to refute the charges made by Clarke. I don't think this is any big deal, they're just trying to make it sound BIG.

10. Condi under oath?
What a laugh.

What if one of the commissioners asks her to explain why, if the Bush Administration was focused on al Qaeda, why Clarke couldn't get a cabinet-level meeting until September?

Must mean that all the blast, bluster, and blow aren't denting Clarke. Oh, goodie.

11. "Panel could rebuff Rice"
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4601195/

Rice, who has met privately with the commission once before, may not get her wish, however, because the commission could insist that any new appearance, even if in private, be conducted under oath. A source familiar with the commission’s operations told NBC News that the panel has consistently required anyone rebutting sworn testimony to be similarly under oath.

17. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.
Edited on Thu Mar-25-04 07:07 PM by Kimber Scott
If she wants to clear her name, she try in front of us, the way everybody else has.

On edit: She can take her "executive priviledge" and stick it up her ass. Executive priviledge ends when you fail to carry out your executive duties. In her case, national security.

22. It's outrageous and ridiculous to ASK to meet with the commission
in order to REFUTE what Clarke said. She had her turn, he had his. If she wants to go back, let her do it on camera under oath. How insulting can you be.

Trying to use the commission to campaign for Bush.

all who testified to return. The committee should now hit her with a legal subpena. Condi is making sound as if she's going back to testify willingly. Bitch Lier.
