* going to increase # of troops in Afghanistan...
just reported on wolf-face blinker, sounds like they need to replenish the troops they diverted from the war on terror.

3. I'm still wondering how depleted out Nat'l Guard stateside level is
especially after Clarke mentioned yesterday that our rail lines and chemical plants are STILL not protected.

* seems to have been spreading the Guard around like they're bandaids.

2. "Troop Rotation"... from Iraq to Afghan?!
a little R&R in Kabul is just what the troops need.

6. Didn't bush say Osama was irrelevent when he decided to take
a detour in his war on terror?

I seem to distinctly recall that Osama was not of any significance since the Taliban and AlQaeda had been smashed two years ago.

why the renewed interest? Is someone's approval ratings knocking on the cellar door?
