Do Freepers routinely threaten to kill people?

Just look at headline...Clinton took threat serious, Bush did not.

The other day I saw a post stating that the Vietkong should have killed John McCain. That one was deleted when somebody complained, but this recent one about Clarke is sitting in the middle of a long thread.

I had joined their site to post in a thread about 'liberal traitors', and posted a pic of myself dressed as Jesus.

Well, at the time I had my 1st and last name in my DU profile, and they found out it was me because I posted on DU about the FR thread. Next thing you know some dumb-ass is posting my name, address, etc, in the FR thread...

the chicken-shit didn't have a damned thing in his profile, and I told him how cowardly it was to post my info like that, then changed my DU profile :)

"should have killed"-"took a bullet".. i think crossing the line if you state you want to or should. the "storm front"-white power site- was visited by the fbi to find a poster who must have threaten a public official. this is why i find it morally repugnant when people here at du call for the death of any political/religious figure. there is a fine line and it`s best not to get close

...that depicted Jesus with a machine gun. These fundies are incredibly stupid. Even though I don't believe in the historical Jesus, I still can't imagine him packing heat. Personally, I have no problem that they worship Bush and think he is a good Republican. But they are intolerant of others holding a different view. I've been here for weeks, reading for hours every day, and I have yet to see anything like that.

I visited Free Republic twice, briefly scanned one thread each time, and both times I saw posts advocating death for somebody they disagreed with.

Saw a thread on George Soros whom they obviously see as a threat because of the possibility of millions of bucks going against shrub. Someone on the thread asking about what kind of security guards he travels with, and implying that shrubco or other interested parties might have an interest in taking him out.
