3/24 Rasmussen Poll: Kerry 47% Bush 44% "Other" 4% - Clarke Effect?
From the article: "These numbers reflect quite a change in the race after Bush had been leading Kerry for 7 straight days. The recent news cycle maybe taking a toll on the President's numbers..."

43% rate Bush Good./Excellent on Iraq. Down from 47% last week.

36% rate Bush Good/Excellent on economy, down from 41% last week.

A little good news from this most Republican friendly of polls.

1. We can only hope. People who's eyes are opened by such as Clarke
and O'Neill and go against shrub are unlikely to be swayed back by dumbass commercials.

2. Do you ever wonder.....
who are the people who rate Bush Good/Excellent on the economy? I mean, if the poll is accurate (which I doubt) it means that one in three Americans think * is doing a good or excellent job with the economy.

????

4. People who are rich enough to notice his tax cuts.
Also, people in the defense, energy, and pharmaceutical industries probably also think shrub is doing a good job with the economy. Bush did line their pockets pretty well (Iraq, Halliburton, Mediscare, respectively).

And when I say Mediscare, I DO NOT mean it in the same context as talking points! Bush played on economic fears to pass his drug-industry giveaway (hence the "scare").

3. Some state-by-state data
The most recent Rasmussen Reports state polling shows Kerry leading Bush by 4 points in both Michigan and Ohio while the candidates are essentially tied in Pennsylvania.

In Florida, it's Kerry 48% Bush 45%. Rasmussen Reports will be releasing its first wave of state-by-state polling data over the coming weeks. All results will be posted on our Election 2004 page.

WooHoo!
