Kerry Heckler Convinced Kerry is Out to Destroy Him
I am mainly posting the following story for its entertainment value, not because it is newsworthy. Cedric "Rick" Brown repeatedly heckled John Kerry at a town meeting outside of Bethlehem PA a couple weeks ago. Brown received tons of attention - he was interviewed on Hannity and many other right wing shows. People who listened to his interviews said he was really rambling on those shows. My sister in law was sitting near him at the Bethlehem Kerry meeting and said the news reports did not get across just how obnoxious and disruptive repetitive this guy was in repeatedly asking Kerry the same question at the meeting.

Now, Brown is claiming that Kerry has convinced the City of Bethlehem to go after him with a tax audit on his 2-employee sign business. As the article notes, the director of the local tax office is a strong Bush supporter, and has held that position for decades.

Brown thought this persecution was so serious that he held a press conference on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, attended by a single reporter. To show how angry he was, he stomped on a plastic bottle. He also is furious that someone stole his garbage.

Here's an excerpt from the article:

"Brown also volunteered that he has had tax troubles before. The federal government audited him about 10 years ago. New Jersey records also show that Brown's business was subject to a $19,853 tax lien in Mercer County. Brown said he thought it had been settled.

''My customers will tell you I'm horribly disorganized and when it comes to taxes I would say I'm totally dysfunctional,'' Brown said. ''I historically file late and I historically end up paying huge penalties, lots of interest, things of that sort. And I don't mind. That's the price you pay for being disorganized.''

3. Hey don't laugh
I know what it's like to face political persecution. Vice President Cheney hides in my closet during the day so he can come out and explain trickle down economic theory to me in the middle of the night. I haven't been able to sleep for weeks. Politicians are all evil.

Out of the mental institutions. I guess because they tend to vote Republican?

5. my fav parts of this article...and there are so many to choose from
'He made me out to be the Republican dupe in the town hall meeting,'' Brown said Tuesday. ''Kerry turned the entire room against me.''

"Brown said their mailbox was destroyed, their garbage was stolen and a cigarette lighter was left outside their house."

"Asked whether he would expect to be audited if his showdown with Kerry had never happened, Brown said, ''Absolutely.''"
