Bush's big move, if
he makes it may be to back Israel militarily in the heightened crisis there over Yassim's assasination.

LIke 9/11 an escalation in hostilities may put the scandal's brewing, particularly the most threatening one: Clarke's damning expose', on the back burner.

Bush may launch an attack on the Arabs from the rear in response to a threat to Israel, cutting through Jordan, and linking up with Israel.

The big problem is that he leaves the US military's own rear and line opened to attack from the still unsettled Iraq and other Arab countries. The pincer movement would probably be used instead of a reinforcement from the Mediterranean since the former tactic would divide the Arab world physically. The larger purpose would be to conquer the Mid-East.

Is this the big push coming?

All of this would require a massive increase in the size of the US military and a long term committment to occupy the Mid-East. Solution: Reinstitute the Draft and put millions in uniform.

One way for stopping this action by Bush, should it take place, is for the Congress to exercise its long unused war powers to reign Bush in: refuse to approve any such endeavor without a declaration of war.

Just some thoughts, as depressing as they are. :scared:

1. Rove may have saved us from that
My understanding is, he told Bush no more wars until after the election.

2. Hamas backed down today - has no intention to target Americans
But may be too late to affect Bush policy - especially after yesterdays America=Israel=Sharon comments from Iraq, the PLO, Egypt, etc with the kill Americans at home thought that some speakers threw in.

3. It will bring about
the invasion of Syria. I think Hamas knows this and is why they are backing down on the call for attacking the US.
