The Good of the Nation
That's what I think all these hearings are going to boil down to. Once the committee gets a feeling for the direction the hearings are going, the downfall of this administration, I get the notion that they will back off in an attempt to keep the public in the dark. It's "for the good of the nation". Same exact thing they did in the 2000 election. No one wanted a serious investigation, the congress, the media, the winners, the losers, no one because somewhere along the road somebody decides that they don't want a government crisis.

At the end of the day these commissions are going to spread the blame around and conclude that we need to work harder so that this doesn't happen again. End of story.

1. I agree, except I think it has gotten too big to put the lid on it
The 9/11 families won't allow it...they want these fuckers to burn for what they did.

The truth WILL come out (and practically already has with Rummy's NORAD revelations). The commission's final decision might be bullshit like the Warren Commission's was, but the evidence will be there! The American people cannot possibly ignore the fact that this administration perpetrated the greatest crime ever committed against the people of the United States.

2. I hope you are right and the truth does come out but........
I'm afraid most Americans would prefer to keep their head in the sand. It's easier than having to think.
