My day at the peace march
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 05:47 PM by robbedvoter
3 generations marching for peace as Clark Democrats

We went all the way midtown to join the march that was supposed to start in our neoghborhoos as per NYPD advice. It turned out we walked south for several blocks then we met the crowds and we got stuck. Forever Such was the organization of this thing...
Besides that, the day was beautiful, the spirits high, the signs good.
The chicks with dicks were there - thise lovely ladies with strap-on missiles that don't miss any peace event. Here they are in a photo made last year

(some strange parent asked for the set-up)
A huge hand was up, pointer raised with the  inscription: "THE POINT IS, BUSH SUCKS"
A guy dressed as a beautiful grean pea pod was carrying a sign with 2 British comics saying: "Down with this sort of thing: try some peaz"
Another had a toilet seat straped on him - and framed in it was a proud Bush...
KICK BUSH IN THE TUSH said a sign - complete with a baby boot attached....more

4. Ignore it.
Anyone who wants to talk about attacking women will not be here long.

5. Abraham Lincoln Brigade
I saw some veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade from the Spanish Civil War on 23rd Street between 5th and 6th avenue. They would have to be at least 83 years old.
