And worse, as if they haven't done enough to ruin Mr. Lees life already they say this about why they dismissed the charges.

Leaving in the reader the idea that he is actually guilty of something so awful it can't even be spoken of in court, lest it bring the whole country down. So instead they are just letting him go. what an absurd idea.

2. I've been following this story as well.....

It got about as much attention as your thread did unfortunately. I can think of a dozen countries around the world where Yousef Yee's picture would have been on posters and t-shirts all over the place until his name became a household word due to media coverage and public outrage. Yee may have been set free, but there are hundreds still languishing in federal prisons without benefit of council or even a court date. It's a disgrace.
